Edgar Howell Greene, 87, of McMinnville died Saturday, Jan. 12, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville.

Edgar was born Tuesday, June 2, 1931 in Grundy County, the son of the late Clayborn Greene and the late Lensa Rhea Greene. Edgar is survived by son Ronnie Greene, two granddaughters Molly Ryan and Renee Usrey, six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, brother Paul Greene, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Edgar was preceded in death by his wife Alice Lucille Greene, two brothers Charlie and George Earl Greene, and sister Iola King.

Funeral service was Tuesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home in McMinnville with Delbert Layne officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery in McMinnville. Online condolences may be made at gardensofmemoryfuneralhome.com.
