McMinnville resident and Warren County native, was born Dec. 7, 1928 and died Oct. 31 at his residence following an extended illness. A retired loan company examiner with the state of Tennessee and a member of Christ United Methodist Church, he was the son of the late Edward Nathaniel and Frankie Hobson Yager, Jr. He was married Sept. 1, 1950 to Josephine Russell Yager, who preceded him in death Nov. 18, 2012. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by daughter, Betty Lynn York; sister, Betty Lively; and brother-in-law, Clarence Russell.
