Douglas Lee Martin Sr., 77, a Warren County resident and native, was born May 4, 1942 and passed away June 9 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.
He was a retired construction supervisor, member of Hwy. 56 Church of Christ, and son of the late Otis Haskell Martin Sr. and Bertha Glenn Martin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Ollis and Haskell Martin; sisters Sue Bell Jones and Judy Ann Martin, brother-in-law Eddie Cantrell; father-in-law and mother-in-law William Claude Perry and Ruby Stanley Perry; and brother-in-law Kenneth “Buck” Perry.
Mr. Martin is survived by his wife Carol Perry Martin of McMinnville; two sons and daughters-in-law Stan and Christy Martin and Lee and Beth Martin, all of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Terence Martin of Spencer and Micah Martin and Ashlee Martin, both of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law Nadean and Kenneth Brown of McMinnville; brother and sister-in-law Otis and Sylvia Martin Jr. of McMinnville, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Claudia and Harold Martin of McMinnville; sister-in-law Mary Frances Martin of Rock Island, brother-in-law and sister-in-law Tex and Pam Perry of McMinnville; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special caregiver, Sara.
Graveside service and interment was Monday, June 10, at Bethlehem Cemetery with Wayne Cantrell and Darrell Cantrell officiating. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
