Rock Island resident Dortha Helen Palmer, 90, died Feb. 15 at River Park Hospital after a short illness.A homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Fred C. and Gertie Bishop Moore and was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne C. Palmer July 8, 2008; brothers, F.C., O.J. and William P. Moore and sisters, Mary Pack, Freida Delong and Gracie Lawson.She is survived by nephews, Eddie Scott and Freddie Scott, both of Rock Island; six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother, Samuel Moore of Maryville; sisters, Margie Delong of Rock Island and Barbara Childress of Texas; several nieces and nephews.Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at Long Cemetery in Van Buren County with Willard Ralph Jr., officiating.
