Mrs. Dorothy Jo Cook, 90, of McMinnville died Friday, March 17, 2023. She was born Aug. 12, 1932, in Texarkana, Ark., was a homemaker and a member of the People of the Living God Church. Dorothy loved the outdoors, she enjoyed fishing, gardening, and sitting on her porch. She also enjoyed playing the harmonica, and had a deep love for her family. Mrs. Cook was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Georgia Lankford Burkeen; husband, Walter D. Cook; daughter, Rajeana L. Cook; sister, Lillian E. Fike; and brothers, Hubert E. Burkeen and Charles R. Burkeen.

Survivors include her sons, Joe D. (Susan) Cook and Richard W. (Kristy) Cook; sister, Wanda J. Treas; grandchildren, Chad Wayne (Chassidy) Cook, David Christopher (Jennifer) Cook, Lauren (Brandon) Carter and Shaun (Kristy) Cook; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Cook, Caleb Cook, Katie, Cook, Will (Amber) Cheek, Rachel Cheek, Austin Cook, Sydney Cook, Conner Cook and Jordan Cook; and one great-great-grandchild, Campbell Mae Cheek.  

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 19, at the People of the Living God Church. Bro. Richard W. Cook and David C. Cook will officiate. Interment will follow at Homeland Acres Cemetery. The Cook Family will receive friends Sunday from noon until time of service at the People of the Living God Church.
