Dorothy J. Higginbotham, 84, of McMinnville died Saturday, Jan. 19, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center after an extended illness.She was born in Chattanooga on July 12, 1928, a daughter of the late Rosa Lee (Wiseman) and Hershell Gibbs. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Leo Church of Christ.She is survived by two daughters, Wanda J., and husband James Harris, of McMinnville; and Mildred D. Hunter of Rock Island; son, Billy W., and wife Brenda Higginbotham of Murfreesboro; seven grandchildren, Paul Harris, Monica Harris, Tisha Hunter, Shahn Hunter, Holly Hunter, Michael Higginbotham and Jason Higginbotham, great-grandchildren Hannah McCormick, Madison Harris, Paige Harris, Michelle Lance, Paton Cook, Violet Higginbotham, Jay Higginbotham and Cooper Higginbotham.Funeral services were held Tuesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Titus Ward officiating.
