Dorothy “Dot” Mullican, 89, a Maryville resident, died Aug. 20 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Clyde Sutton and Johnnie Ida Jones and was married to Billy Akers Mullican, who preceded her in death May 22, 2013. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Thomas Sutton Mullican and brother, James Jones.Mrs. Mullican is survived by son Bill Akers (Ann Proffitt) Mullican of Knoxville; grandchildren, Elizabeh Ann Mullican (Ken) Lovic and Nicholas Thomas (Nicole) Mullican; great-grandchildren, Casey Elizabeth Mullican, Riley Ann Mullican and Kade Woodfin Lovic; brothers, Charles Jones and Clyde Jones.Mrs. Mullican was a devoted wife and avid cook, golfer, Lady Vols fan and bridge player.
