McMinnville resident and Grundy County native Doris Lee Argo Starkey, 79, was born Oct. 31, 1936 and died April 24 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following a brief illness.A retired clerk with the Warren County Register of Deeds and a member of East End Church of Christ, she was married July 17, 1955 to J.M. “Donnie” Starkey. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Kent and Gina Starkey of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Ronnie Argo of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Ronnie Jones of McMinnville; and several nieces and nephews also survive.She was preceded in death by father Leroy Argo; mother Esther Beatrice Meeks Jones; stepfather, Robert N. “Bob” Jones; and brother Rob Jones.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at East End Church of Christ with Jim Boyd and Ray Weddington officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
