Mrs. Dora Mangum Hutchings, 83, of McMinnville died Wednesday, May 4, at her residence in McMinnville.
She was born Feb. 7, 1933, in Smithville, was a homemaker and a member of McMinnville First Baptist Church. Mrs. Hutchings was preceded in death by parents Jessie Brown and Novella Bond Mangum, granddaughter Jaclyn Colette Fletcher, sisters Elizabeth Cummings, Mildred Odom, Vella Blythe, and Lela Boileau and brothers Fred, Jimmy, Jack, Ferman, Herman and Gene W. Mangum, and John Van Hooser, and Bill Van Hooser.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years Joe M. Hutchings, children Joseph (Lorie) Hutchings, Patricia (Wesley) Suddarth, and Celia (John) Fletcher, grandchildren Wesley M. (Evonne) Suddarth, John Hunt Fletcher, Catherine Ashley Fletcher, Christa Mae Fletcher, Alyssa Claire Hutchings, and Jame Pryce Hutchings, and great-grandchildren Timothy Suddarth and Victoria Suddarth. Several nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Bo Hendrix and Rev. John E. Fletcher will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethlehem Cemetery. The Hutchings family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and again Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
