Dora Hitchcock, 94, of Albany, Ga., was born Dec. 28, 1919 and died Dec. 14 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
Dora and Gordon would have celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary on Wednesday, Dec. 17.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Mathews Funeral Home. Rev. Ralph Horne Sr., will officiate. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
A native of Marianna, Fla., born to the late Lewis and Pearl Rogers, Mrs. Hitchcock moved to Albany, Ga., in 1954 from McMinnville. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Parkway Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon E. Hitchcock; a son and his wife, Gene and Kathy Hitchcock all of Albany, Ga.; two daughters, Brenda Creasy of Newnan, Ga., and Gloria Gaughf and her husband, Ron of Vero Beach, Fla., five grandchildren, Reeves Hitchcock of Athens, Ga., Jessica Hitchcock of Bethesda, Md., Mark Creasy and his wife, Julie of Sharpsburg, Ga., Michael Creasy and his wife, Kelly of Dallas, Ga., and Pamela King and her husband, Brian of Glen Allen, Va.; five great-grandchildren, Olivia Creasy of Marietta, Ga., Caroline Creasy and Garrett Creasy both of Dallas, Ga., Allison Creasy of Sharpsburg, Ga., and Grace King of Glen Allen, Va.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home.
