McMinnville resident and Warren County native Donnie Rhea Watts, 56, was born Feb. 23, 1957 and died Oct. 2 at River Park Hospital following a sudden illness.An employee of McMinnville Manufacturing, he was the son of the late Ernest Edward and Minnie Alvie Myers Watts Jr. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Rex Watts and Joe Watts; father-in-law, Douglas Kirby; brother-in-law, Jim Lee; sister-in-law, Doris Watts; and two nephews, Darrell Lee and Joseph “BoBo” Watts.He was married June 11, 1977 to Sandra Kirby Watts of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Christy and Jeff Northcutt of the Centertown community and Tasha Perkins of Morrison; six grandchildren, Christopher Northcutt, Chase Rogers, Alexis Rogers, Preston Northcutt, Quinton Beasley and Jaden Northcutt; brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Gail Watts of Rock Island; three sisters and brother-in-law, Linda and George Smartt of McMinnville, Betty Lee of McMinnville and Wanda Cook of Morrison; several nieces and nephews; mother-in-law, Christine Kirby of Sparta; sister-in-law, Lisa Thorpe of Sparta; brother-in-law, Scooter Kirby of Sparta; special family friend, Michelle Henny of McMinnville; and many other friends also survive.Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in High’s Chapel with Steve Breedlove officiating.
