Dixie Johnston Hale, 81

Dixie Johnston Hale of McMinnville died Monday, Aug. 22, at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born Nov. 20, 1929 to the late Elmer Clifford Johnston and Maggie Elizabeth Driskill Johnston. She was a member of Poplar Springs Primitive Baptist Church in Kingston.
She is survived by her only son Hoyt Hale; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Bryan Mason, Terri Tanner, Missie and Ed Griffin; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister Tommie Johnston Mayton; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Rhonda Mason and Tina Mason Krofssik.
Graveside services were held Thursday at Poplar Springs Cemetery with Rev. Nathan Hale officiating.
Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City was in charge of arrangements.
