McMinnville resident and Wichita, Kan., native Della Elaine Toomer, 56, was born April 15, 1959 and died Feb. 22 at her residence following a sudden illness. A retired surgical tech with St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson, Ariz., and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of Albert Cantrell of McMinnville and the late Lila Webb Cantrell. In addition to her father, she is survived by three children and spouses, Susan and Jason Rice of Tucson, Victoria and Jonathan Hardin of Maricopa, Ariz., and Andrew Toomer of McMinnville; six grandchildren; two sisters, Shellie Hargenrader of South Carolina and Sarah Reece of McMinnville; two brothers, Albert Cantrell Jr., of Arizona and Jerome Cantrell of South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
