McMinnville resident and Grundy County native Delbert “Delva” Myers, 85, was born July 27, 1932 and died Sept. 20 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville following a sudden illness. A retired timber worker and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Calvin and Grace Hobbs Myers. He was married to Betty Sue Brady Myers, who preceded him in death on April 18, 1975.
