Mrs. Debra Renee Sawyer, 68, of McMinnville, died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2023, at her home. She was born Dec. 19, 1954, in Fort Campbell, Ky., Tenn., was a secretary and investigator for Galligan & Newman Law Offices, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She had an affinity for computers, enjoyed reading, and was an avid Jeopardy watcher and couch participator. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Herman Lowe, step father Norris Vaughn, and sisters Kathy, Carol, and Cindy Lowe all of Harrison, Tenn.

Debby is survived by her husband of 18 years, Gary Sawyer; mother, Laverne Vaughn; brother, Curtis (Carol) Lowe of Chattanooga; step-brother Richard (Billie Faye) Vaughn; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends. 

Mrs. Sawyer was cremated and a memorial celebration of her life will take place at 5 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 4, at the First Presbyterian Church. Rev. Harry Green will officiate. The receiving of friends will be held at the church from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Friday.
