McMinnville resident and Warren County native Deborah “Debby” Elaine Glenn, 71, was born July 9, 1949 and died March 13 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville following a two-month illness.
The office manager with Mayfield Lumber and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Lee and Ruby Frances Mitchell Glenn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Ada Mayfield, brother Don Glenn, nephew Jeff Mayfield, niece Jalesia Hansen and brother-in-law Bill Rymer.
Debby is survived by a sister, Jimmie Rymer of McCaysville, Ga., brother-in-law Bob Mayfield of McMinnville, sister-in-law Pam Glenn of McMinnville, nephews and nieces Leland (Ann) Rymer of McCaysville, Ga., Amy (Charles) Layne of Franklin, TN, David (Janice) Mayfield of McMinnville, Becca Loper of Huntland, TN and Tim Hansen of McMinnville, eight great-nephews and great-nieces and nine great-great-nephews and great-great-nieces of whom she considered her children, many cousins and many, many friends.
Debby loved to cook and bake of which most of you have experienced!
A graveside service and interment was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at Salem Cemetery with Wayne Cantrell officiating. Friends met at the cemetery for the graveside service.
