David W. Moore, 65

David W. Moore, 65, of Hixson died Tuesday, July 28.
He was born in McMinnville and at the age of 14, was the youngest in Chattanooga to become an Eagle Scout. He was a 1968 graduate of Central High School and a graduate of Tennessee Technological University. He retired from TVA as a senior nuclear reactor operator and after retirement he continued to work as a consultant with TVA. He loved his family, antique cars and had many friends. He loved the island of St. Marten and traveling. 
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl W. Moore.
David is survived by his wife of 42 years Victoria “Vicki” J. Moore; daughter Cari Moore Disney; son Kevin Moore; grandchildren, Emma and Henry; and mother Doris Moore.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 31, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A celebration of David’s life will follow at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with longtime friend minister Larry Clements officiating. 
The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any Blood Assurance at www.bloodassurance.org, in the name of David Moore.
