McMinnville resident and Grundy County native David Pernell Roberts, 34, died unexpectedly Jan. 21 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.An employee of Pro Pack crate manufacturing, he was the son of Evelyn King Roberts of Tarlton and the late Charles Winford Roberts Sr. He was preceded in death by sister, Julia Mae Roberts.He is survived by sisters and brothers-in-law, Lillian and Tommy Ferrell and Charlotte Roberts, all of Tarlton, Delcie and Jerry Ferrell of Smithville; brother, Charles Winford Roberts Jr. of Tarlton; nieces, Deanna Ferrell, Carolyn (Derek) Johnson of Tarlton; nephew, Ben (Samantha) Ferrell of Rock Island, and great-niece, Kirra Ferrell of Rock Island.Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at High’s Chapel with burial following at King Cemetery in Grundy County.
