Danny Ray “Mayor” Hobbs, 61, a McMinnville resident and Sequatchie County native, died July 8 at his residence following a short illness.He was a former employee of Magnetek, member of the Church of God, and son of the late Bonner and Betty Sims Hobbs. Mr. Hobbs was married to Charleen Moore Hobbs, who preceded him in death Jan. 14, 2006. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brother Jimmy Rayburn Hobbs.
