Morrison resident and Warren County native Daniel John Chisam, 52, was born Jan. 7, 1972 and died Dec. 29, 2024 at his residence following a brief illness. 

The former Chief of Police in Tracy City, Tenn., a former sheriff’s deputy for Warren County Sheriff’s Department and of the Baptist faith, he was the son of the late John Thomas and Betty Joe Prater Chisam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Yvonne Lynn Chisam. 

Mr. Chisam was married to Dodie Chisam of Morrison on June 9, 1993. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Harli (Hayden) Nunley and Rylie (Austin) Panter; grandchildren, Thomas Nunley, Weston Nunley, Allison Nunley and Billie Panter; sister, Donna (Jammie) Poss of Morrison; brother, David Lee Chisam of Morrison, TN and several nieces and nephews. 

Mr. Chisam will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 3 in High’s Chapel with Kevin Murphy officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
