McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native Clercie Grove Delon, 92, died May 29 at Raintree Manor after an extended illness.A retired seamstress and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Annie Elizabeth Clark Johnson and was preceded in death by husbands, George Grove and Dalt Delon; brothers, Andy and Floyd Johnson; sister, Scena Christian and granddaughter, Glenda Delon.She is survived by daughter, Mildred Simmons of McMinnville; grandchildren, Jennifer Simmons Allen of Chattanooga, Chris Simmons of Nashville, Vickie Bridge and Rick Delon of Royal Center, Ind., and Larry Delon of Sharpsville, Ind., 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Ellen Bouldin of Spencer.Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at High’s Chapel with Dr. Dean Northcutt officiating. Burial will follow at White Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High’s.
