Mrs. Claudie A. Grove, age 95, of McMinnville, passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Legacy Health & Rehab in Manchester. She was born in DeKalb County on Jan. 22, 1930 and was a member of Smartt Baptist Church. Claudie enjoyed painting, sewing, crafting, and gardening. She loved her flowers. Mrs. Grove was preceded in death by her parents Allen Robinson and Ethel Foutch Robinson, husband Floyd William Grove, sisters Ruth Cantrell and Audrey Phillips, and brother C.A. Robinson, and son in law Mark Alan Griffith.

Survivors include her son Floyd Wade Grove (Carol), daughter Cynthia Renee Griffith, sister Janice Diane McCaleb, grandchildren Sheila Denise Grove, Heather Lynn (Tim) Mears, Jessica Laurel (Tyler) Scott, and Jeremy Dane Griffith, and great grandchildren Jonathan Mears, Parker Griffith, Cooper Scott, and Ember Scott.

The funeral service for Claudie Grove is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, May 16, 2025 in the McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Johnny Newby and Jim Ramsey will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday and again from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday at McMinnville Funeral Home.

Memorial donations may be made to the Gideon Bible Program, Meals on Wheels or to McMinnville Special Games in Claudie’s memory.
