Claudia Sylvia Adcock Lorance, 99, of McMinnville, died Sunday, Oct. 2, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 27, 1916, in DeKalb County, was a homemaker and a member of the McMinnville Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Lorance was preceded in death by parents Isaac D. and Hattie Neely Adcock, husband Jesse Curl Lorance, sons Glen Dwight Lorance and James Michael Lorance, grandson Mark Henehan; sister Elsie Paris, and brother Ernest Garland Adcock.
Survivors include her children, A.D. Lorance, Garland (Margie) Lorance, Charlene (Michael) Henehan, Ronnie (Anita) Lorance, and Connie (John) Peden; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, family members and friends also survive.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Harley Roth will officiate. Interment will follow at New Union Cemetery in DeKalb County. The Lorance family will receive friends Wednesday from 4 to 8 p.m., and again Thursday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
