Claude Richard Stubblefield, 99, of McMinnville (Irving College community) died Monday, May 28. He was born Oct. 13, 1912 in Warren County and was a nurseryman, raised Tennessee Walking Horses, and was a member of Hebron Church of Christ. Mr. Stubblefield was preceded in death by parents, Richard and Blanche Gibbs Stubblefield; wife Marcelle Walker Stubblefield, sisters Nora Lee Michael, and brothers, Harry, J. P., and Hiram B. Stubblefield.Survivors include children, Elizabeth (Michael) Dendy, Petersburg, and Andy Talbert, Okla., and special sisters-in-law, Eugenia Walker and Sarah Becton Ornelas; step-grandchildren, step great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.Mr. Stubblefield’s funeral service will be at 1 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
