Clata Juanita Copeland, 88, of McMinnville died Thursday, Aug. 22, at NHC Health Care in McMinnville.
She was born June 7, 1925 in Warren County and was a former employee of Rockford Textile Mills, and a member of Westside Baptist Church. Mrs. Copeland was preceded in death by her parents, John Jefferson and Minnie Belle Chambers Bell; her husband, Marshall Lee Copeland; daughter, Rebecca Elaine Walker; sister, Elizabeth Daphine (Bill) Atnip, and brothers John E. Bell and William Carl Bell.
Survivors include her daughter, Wanda Kay (Robert) Rich; son, Thomas Wayne (Judy) Copeland; grandchildren Michelle Rich, Justin (Karyn) Rich, and Lynn Walker; great-grandchildren, Kayla Judkins, Kyle Van Patten, Christina Walker, and Braeden Rich, and son-in-law, Freddie (Sandra) Walker. Many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends also survive.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Tyree Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory. The Copeland family will receive friends Friday from 1 to 8 p.m., and again Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home.
