Indianapolis, Ind., resident and DeKalb County native Clarence Brown Russell, 83, was born July 30, 1930 and died Jan. 19 at his residence.
A retired driver for Pike Township Transportation, a United States Army veteran of Korea, and a member of Calvary Tabernacle Church in Indianapolis, he was the son of the late William and Clara West Russell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jo Yager.
He was married to Mary Whittaker Russell of Indianapolis. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a sister, Christine Rogers of Indianapolis; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at High’s Chapel with Edsel Hartman officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at High’s.
