McMinnville resident and Davidson County native Christopher Michael McCormick, 44, was born Jan. 16, 1979 and died suddenly Nov. 18, 2023. 

The son of Michael and Ann McCormick of the Smartt Station Community, he was married to Jo Nunley McCormick of the Irving College Community. He was preceded in death by grandmother-in-law, Louise Nunley.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. McCormick is survived by sons, Ridge and Wyatt McCormick, both of the Irving College Community; brother, Mark (Samantha) McCormick of the Smartt Station Community; mother-in-law, Cheryl Nunley of the Irving College Community; father-in-law, Gene (Sherrie) Smith of Tullahoma; nieces, Emily (Kyle) Rutherford and Megan McCormick, both of El Paso, Texas; several other nieces, nephews and grandfather-in-law, Jim Nunley, of the  Irving College Community.

Funeral service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 21 in High’s Chapel with Travis Wanamaker officiating. Burial followed in Hebron Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation was Monday from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
