Christopher David Hollis, 36, a McMinnville resident and Rutherford County native, was born May 31, 1985 and died Oct. 24 following a sudden illness.

He was self-employed, and the son of Vicki Marsh of McMinnville and Barry Hollis of McMinnville. He was preceded in death by grandfathers Kelton Marsh and Frank Hollis.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by maternal grandmother, Stella Marsh of Morrison, paternal grandmother Peggy Hollis of McMinnville, uncles Royce Marsh of McMinnville, and Steve and Linda Hollis of Summitville, aunt Rita and Billy Jones of McMinnville, cousins Cheyenne Marsh of Smithville, Terah McBride of McMinnville, Traci Jones of Nashville, Craig Hollis of Murfreesboro, and Leslie King of McMinnville, and special daughter Kennedy Scott of Spencer.

A celebration of life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29, at High’s Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G.
