Irving College community resident and Warren County native Cheatham Carlyle Hobbs, 90, was born June 18, 1924 and died Nov. 16 at his residence following a brief illness.A self-employed logger, employee of Hobbs Tire Shop and a member of Hebron Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Dalton and Myrtle Nunley Hobbs. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Herbert and Hall Hobbs, and three sisters, Cora Mae Jennings, Willie Rhea and Louise Harlowe. Mr. Hobbs was married Dec. 15, 1962 to Louise Hobbs of the Irving College community.
