Huntland resident and Warren County native, Charlie Wayne Milstead, 73, was born May 20, 1940 and died Dec. 3 at his residence following an extended illness.A retired nurseryman with Lantenn Farms and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of Cleo Gertrude Roberts Milstead of McMinnville and the late Charles William Milstead. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brother, Jimmy Lawrence Milstead.He was married Feb. 24, 1961 to Sarah Pack Milstead of Huntland. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Jena and Rick Dekker of Green Bay, Wis.; son and daughter-in-law, Michel and Laura Milstead of Huntland; 10 grandchildren and spouses, Matthew and Crystal Kesey of Kathleen, Ga., Natasha and Justin Cottello of Berlin, Wis., Brandon Myers of Colorado Springs, Colo., Shawna Stewart, Joshua Milstead and Shelby Higginbotham, Austin Williams and Arron Williams, all of Huntland and Derek Dekker, Kimberly Dekker and Jennifer Dekker, all of Green Bay, Wis.; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers and sister-in-law, Lonnie and Patricia Milstead of McMinnville and Eugene Milstead of McMinnville; two sisters and brother-in-law, Donna Milstead of McMinnville, and Wilma and Maurice Powell of Woodbury; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.Funeral service was held Thursday, Dec. 5 in High’s Chapel with Billy Reed and Mike Robertson officiating.
