Charles Thurman Young Jr., 83, of McMinnville (formerly of Nashville) died Monday, Dec. 5 at NHC Health Care in McMinnville.He was born Nov. 22, 1928 in Warren County and was a retired brakeman/ foreman with CSX Railroad, a Korean War U.S. Army veteran, and a member of Charles Creek the Baptist Church. Mr. Young was preceded in death by parents, Hattie Pearl Dodd Young and Charles Thurman Young Sr., and his wife, Ruth Charlton Young.Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Judy Young of McMinnville; daughter and son-in-law Anita and Randy Fowler of Murfreesboro; and grandchildren, Zakk and Abbey Fowler. Several cousins and family members also survive.Funeral service is 2 p.m. today at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel.
