Cecil T. Basham, 74, of McMinnville died Sunday, Feb. 10 at Raintree Manor after an extended illness.He was born in McMinnville Oct. 9, 1938, a son of the late Della (Myers) and Thurman Basham. He worked as a factory worker and a nurseryman and was a member of Shellsford Baptist Church in McMinnvilleHe is survived by wife Helen J. Basham of McMinnville; daughter, Deitra L., and husband Joe Dunlap of McMinnville; son Jeffery C., and wife Donna Basham of McMinnville; stepdaughter Anita and husband Gary Gallop of West Palm Beach, Fla.; stepson Kenneth, and wife Denise Bottoms of McMinnville; five sisters, Hassie Lee, and husband Harold Dykes of McMinnville, Mary and husband Junior Santiago of Viola, Elaine Doak of McMinnville, Peggy and husband Chris Fults of McMinnville, Judy Stotts of McMinnville; three brothers Horace and wife Pam Basham of McMinnville, Tommy Basham of McMinnville, Dickey Basham of McMinnville; first wife and mother of his children, Wilba Walker of McMinnville; seven grandchildren, Lucas and Olivia Majors, Jackson Dunlap, Brett Basham and wife Racheal, Brittany Collier and husband Justin, Chase Basham, Blake Basham, one step-grandson, Cody Lelon Bottoms, one great-grandson, Jeffrey Thomas Basham; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.He was preceded in death by his parents, Thurman and Della (Myers) Basham; two brothers, Harold Basham and Jimmy Basham; and one sister, Joyce Fults.Funeral service was held at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home on Wednesday with David Daugherty and Donald Owens officiating.
