McMinnville resident and Van Buren County native Carroll Lynn “Bigfoot” Simmons, 72, was born Feb. 15, 1943 and died Sept. 16 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following a sudden illness. An employee of Prince & Sons Construction and member of the Non-Denominational Church, he was the son of the late Carroll Edward and Polly Annie Manus Simmons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Lynn Simmons and brother, William Edward Simmons.
