Carolyn Sue Sharp Brown, 68, a Smithville resident and Harlan, Ky., native died May 9 at her residence due to complications from Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.She was a nurse anesthetist at Baptist DeKalb Hospital, member of Earleyville Church of Christ, and daughter of the late Arthur Waterman and Nancy Claire Dollins Shields. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother John Shields. Mrs. Brown was married to Lawton Brown, who survives.
