McMinnville resident and Warren County native Carolyn Estes, 69, was born Jan. 13, 1951 and died April 16 at her residence following a sudden illness.

A school bus driver for the Durham Bus Company and a member of the Pentecostal Church, she was the heartbeat of the family, and the daughter of the late George Graham and Ada Gertrude Leath Leverett. She was married to Harold Evan Estes, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by son Jeffery Steven “Jep” Turner, and brother George Steve Leverett.

She is survived by two sons and daughter-in-law, Darren and Tracy Turner of McMinnville and Jamie Saylors of McMinnville, daughter Melody Harding of McMinnville, 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, brother Charles Leverett, three sisters Bobbye McCormick, Helen Anderson and Joanne Hudson, all of McMinnville, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A private graveside service and interment will be held for the family. There will be no visitation or service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
