McMinnville resident and Dallas, Texas native Carmen Dian Fitzgerald, 65, was born Dec. 22, 1946 and died unexpectedly July 8 at River Park Hospital.A homemaker and member of East End Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late James and Martha Agnes Bennett Cavin. She was married to Joel Brock Fitzgerald, who preceded her in death March 22, 2010. She is survived by two children, James Paul Phifer and Tammy (Randy) Jennings, both of McMinnville; five grandchildren, Ashley (Jason) Newport, Kayla Freeman and fiancé Daniel Patton, Randall Jennings, Alana Jennings, and Alisha Jennings, all of McMinnville; sister, Marsha Anne Bruton of New Orleans, La.; two nephews, Brandon and Blake Bruton; niece, Christina (Derrick) Smartt of Tracy City, and special friend, Jo Ann Leverett of McMinnville.Funeral service was held Tuesday at High’s Chapel with Kevin Key officiating.
