McMinnville resident and Wilson County native Bobby Edgar Merriman, 55, was born May 17, 1956 and died April 24 at his residence following a sudden illness.An employee of Hillis Trucking, he was the son of Maideen Merriman of Sparta and the late Oliver Edgar Merriman. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother, Allen Merriman. He was married Feb. 16, 1979 to Lorie Shook Merriman of McMinnville.
