Billie Jo Hobbs, 85

McMinnville resident and native Billie Jo Hobbs, 85, was born July 8, 1939 and died Dec. 19, 2024 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation following a nine-month illness.

A retired receptionist with the Southern Standard and member of Hebron Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late George and Hattie Mae Myers Simmons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by grandson, Mark Hobbs, great-grandchildren, Sophia and Olivia Duncan and sister, Bobbie Adcock.

Mrs. Hobbs was married Sept. 8, 1983 to Houston P. Hobbs of McMinnville who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Tina Duncan; son, Kevin (Jodie) Duncan; step-sons, Mark Hobbs and Randy Hobbs; grandchildren, Chase White, Jade White, Jeffrey Duncan, Jeremy Duncan, Matt Hobbs and Chad Jones and great-grandchildren, Brentlee White Hobbs, Zoey White Hobbs, Ady Duncan, Alaiyh Duncan, Carmen Duncan, Seth Council and Blane Jones.

Graveside service and interment will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 23 at Hebron Cemetery with Derrick Stiles to officiate. Visitation will be Sunday from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at High’s. There will be no visitation on Monday, everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery.
