Altamont resident and Alabama native and native Beulah Jane “Boots” Stone, 87, died April 25.The daughter of the late Henry and Beulah Patterson Cupp, she was also preceded in death by her husband, B.L. Stone; son, Larry Joe Stone; sisters, Lois and Dovie Stone, and Pearlene McCreary; and brothers, Clavin and Kermit Cupp.She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Rex and Pam Stone; daughter-in-law, Linda Stone; grandchildren and spouses, Jeremy and Stephanie, Deke and Jerica Stone, Melissa and Roy King, Haley Stone, Brad and Estee, and Randy Stone; great-grandchildren, Chase, Briley, Brouklyn, Maddux, Paizlee, Cooper, Millie and Colben.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Layne Funeral Home Chapel with Micah Roberts and Bishop Aaron Barrett officiating.
