Betty Joe Tindle Cotten Brock Parsley, 75, of Doyle died Sunday morning, Sept. 13, at her residence.
Mrs. Parsley was born March 14, 1940 in Sparta to the late Sam Joe and Josie Mae Deaton Tindle. She was a retired housekeeper at River Park Hospital and was a member of Shiloh Church of God of the Prophecy. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by husbands Ralph Cotten and Hack Brock; sons Harold Dortch and Timothy Wayne Dortch; and brothers, R.L. Tindle and Buck Tindle.
Survivors include her husband Donald Parsley of Doyle; daughter, Tara Ann Shepherd and husband Jackie of Ft. Knox, Ky.; son Roy David Dortch of Chicamauga, Ga.; stepson, Donnie Parsley of Panama City, Fla.; sisters Ann Jones of Indiana and Sue Richardson of Doyle; brothers, Charles Tindle of Walling, Elbert Ray Tindle of Dixon, John Leonard of Sparta; stepdaughter: Wanda Gribble of Sparta.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday in the chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial at Anderson Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Hunter Funeral Home. Carl Seibers and Chad Bagley will officiate.
Hunter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
