McMinnville resident and Cannon County native Bertha Jane Mitchell, 100, was born Feb. 10, 1915 and died April 30 at River Park Hospital following a brief illness.A retired cafeteria worker at Warren County High School and a member of Bonner Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Henry J. and Della Youngblood Thomas. She was married to Arthur Alexander Mitchell, who preceded her in death on June 2, 1992. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sister Clara Thomas and brother Ray Thomas.She is survived by daughter Judy Mitchell of McMinnville; caretakers Al and Marietta Stotts of McMinnville; sister-in-law, Dorcie Lee Thomas of Woodbury; and numerous nieces and nephews.
