Mrs. Berdie Dean Smith Jacobs, 89, of McMinnville died Saturday, Feb. 4, at Raintree Manor Nursing Center in McMinnville. She was born June 2, 1927, in Warren County, was a faithful wife, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, homemaker and a member of Bratcher’s Crossroad Free Methodist Church. Mrs. Jacobs was preceded in death by her parents, Hilton and Leathie Pearl Campbell Smith, son Terry Jacobs, brothers Bernice, Marshall, Carlos, and Morris Smith, a grandchild Angelia Tinsley, and great-grandchild Raegan Grace Simons.Survivors include her husband of 71 years Edzel Jacobs, their children Delma Faye (Andy) Tinsley, Wayne (Joy) Jacobs, Robbie (Wendell) VanValin, and Bobby (Pam) Jacobs, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her sisters Wilma Wesson and Joyce (Lyon) Walkup, and sisters-in-law Beulah Smith, Naomi Smith, and Charlene Smith.
