McMinnville resident and DeKalb County native Beatrice Jones Roberts, 91, was born March 3, 1922 and died June 15 at NHC Healthcare McMinnville following an extended illness.A homemaker and member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Minnie Jones. She was married to Billy Roberts, who preceded her in death. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Betty Nicholas and Minnie Ann Roberts; great-grandson, Ricky Nunley Jr.; three brothers, Orb, Comer and Dan Jones, and sister, Zora Hawkins.Mrs. Roberts is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, A.G. and Peggy Roberts of McMinnville; three daughters and son-in-law, Ruth Craven of the Smartt Station community, Wanda and Mike Neel of Manchester, and Diane Fuqua of McMinnville; 17 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren, 26 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service was held Tuesday, June 18 at High’s Chapel with Anthony Campbell officiating.
