Barbara Ward DeArmond, 84, a McMinnville resident and Catoosa County, Ga., native, died at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital on April 2.She was born to the late Eva Cooper and Richard “Z.” Ward on June 21, 1932. She was married Feb. 15, 1957 to George DeArmond, who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Robert Ward.Upon moving to McMinnville in 1963, she became a member of First Baptist Church and dedicated her life to serving the Lord as the church organist and secretary in excess of 30 years.
