Mrs. Barbara Hill Upton, 89, of Morrison died Sunday, Jan. 20, at her son’s residence. 

She was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Muncie, Ind., was a retired bookkeeper for Boyd Nursery and a member of Morrison Church of Christ. Mrs. Upton was preceded in death by parents Clarence and Ida Mae Cantrell Hill, husband Turner Keisling Upton, son Turner Eugene Upton, daughter Sarah Lusk, and sisters Melba Laws and Sue Stewart. 

Survivors include her sons Wayne Upton and fiancée Mary, and David Upton and wife Dena, grandchildren Chandra Elliott, Demetria Hale, Kaitlin Lawrence, Kelsey Lawrence, Shaena Upton, and Erica Stillwell, great-grandchildren John Wesley Elliott, Anna Lynn Elliott, Eli Smith, McKynlee Stillwell, and Treyden Armstrong, and sisters Cindy Lewis and Kathy Hill.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Christopher Perry and Roy Upton will officiate. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. The Upton family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parlors of McMinnville Funeral Home. Online condolences may be made at www.mcminnvillefuneralhome.com.
