Mr. Arthur Carney Pitts Sr., 81, died on Wednesday, June 9, at his home in Murfreesboro. He was the owner of Pitts Brothers Garage, was a lifelong mechanic as well as a Master Mechanic. He was of the Christian faith and a member of the Morrison Ruritan. Mr. Pitts was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Lorene Tenpenney Pitts, brothers Tom Pitts, Robert Pitts, and John Pitts, and his son Bobby Pitts.

Arthur is survived by his wife Dee Anna Pitts, children Jennie (Rick) Howse, Sarah Pitts, Shannon Pitts, Bodie (Cassie) Pitts, Jeff (Melanie) Pitts, David (Dava) Pitts, Micah (Kindyl) Pitts, and Jamie (Meleah) Pitts, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. 

Funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. Jonathan Wanner, Hope Perry, and his children the “Pitts Brothers” will officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery. The Pitts family will receive friends Friday from 4 to 8 p.m., and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at McMinnville Funeral Home.
