Archie Dean Driver, age 86, of Morrison, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2025. He was born on Dec. 24, 1938 in DeKalb County. Archie was the son of the late Garlin and Vada Pedigo Driver. Archie was of the Methodist faith and a long-standing member of the Morrison Community Church. Archie served our country in both the U.S. Army and National Guard Reserves. He was a dairy farmer for over 50 years in the Jacksboro Community. He loved to garden and he maintained the most immaculate garden and lawn in town. He enjoyed fishing and also finding bargains at auctions and yard sales.
Archie served many years on the Morrison Planning Commission, Warren County Farm Bureau Board, and the Morrison Ruritan with 31 years of perfect attendance.
He was preceded in death by his sister Sherry Seabolt, brother Kenneth Driver, and brother-in-law Richard Woods.
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 plus years, Shirley Anderson Driver, son Michael (Laurie) Driver, grandson Jordan (Katie) Driver, great granddaughter Addison Grace, sisters Judy (Richard) Clancy and Linda Woods, sisters-in-law Maria Driver, Jean (Ronnie) Robison, Sue Anderson, Brenda Anderson, brother-in-law Bill Seabolt, along with multiple nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Receiving of friends was held on Monday, May 12 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at McMinnville Funeral Home Chapel. His graveside service and interment was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 13 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery. Rev. Harry Green officiated. Military Grave Rites will be administered by V.F.W. Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
