Clarksville resident and Warren County native Anne Garrett Smith Swanson, 72, was born June 16, 1939 and died Aug. 28 at Alive Hospice at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville following an extended illness.A retired teacher with Warren County School System, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Garrett and Arrie Mae Templeton Smith.She is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Laurie Swanson of Brentwood and Martha and Kenn Littles of Nashville; granddaughter, Caroline Minchey of Nashville; brother, Charles Smith of McMinnville; aunt, Hazel Julian of McMinnville and several cousins.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in High’s Chapel with Paul Roberts officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery.
