Andrew Watson Miller, 79, of McMinnville went to be with Jesus on Monday, May 7, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro after a sudden illness.

Andrew was born Wednesday, July 27, 1938 in Richmond, Ind. He was the son of the late Roy Miller and the late Vernetta Abrhams Miller. He was retired from Cumberland Lumber Company and Coopers, and was a member of West Riverside Church of God of Prophecy.

Andrew is survived by his wife Wilma Jean Ferrell Miller, two daughters Sally Hillis and husband Michael, Pamela Minton and husband Timothy, three sons Page Dixon and wife Wanda, David Dixon, Andy Miller Jr., two grandsons Brandon Adcock and wife Kala, Patrick Adcock and wife Sloan, granddaughter Tiffany Hendrickson and husband Lucas, four great-grandchildren Remington Adcock, Zane Adcock, Myah Hendrickson and Mylee Hendrickson, brother Verlin Miller, three sisters Evelyn Gray, Margie Renthro, and Wanda Brockman, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by Charles and Nancy Miller, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Abrams, brothers and sister-in-law Perry and Shirlene Miller, Darrell and Margie Miller, sister and brother-in-law Alta and Bob Smith, brother Darlington Miller, brothers-in-law Clarence Brockman and Darrell Renthro, and three infant grandsons.

Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home with Michael Hillis and Mickey Obrier officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, and again Friday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery Street.
