Alvie Joe Witty, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 10, at his home. He was a native of Warren County.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Dawn Witty of Morrison; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Witty of Morrison; grandchildren, Ashley (Keith) Brown, Jeremy (Chesney) Witty, Bailey, Malia and Zoe Witty; great-grandchildren, Cade and Analyn Brown, Cadence, Ashton, Tucker Witty; Sisters, Margie (Wayne) Helton and Judy (Homer) Young both of Woodbury, Hazel (David) McFalls of Roanoke, Va.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie Joe and Lena Mai Walker Witty; his wife, Evelyn G. Witty; his son, Michael Lynn Witty; siblings, Ruth Arledge, Lorene Byford, Beatrice Burlason, Everett Thomas Witty and Jerry Dale Witty.
Mr. Witty was a member of Smith Grove Church of Christ and an industrial sewing machine mechanic. He loved to fish, ride horses and garden, but most of all he loved his family.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Chapel of Woodbury Funeral Home with Al Bugg Jr. officiating.
